"Dear Todd, I received the portrait yesterday and am very pleased with it. Spikey was truly a remarkable dog and was the great love of my life. He was rescued from the mean streets of New Orleans and brought nothing but pure joy to me everyday. It’s hard to believe that he has been gone for six years. The portrait brought back a lot of emotions and I will admit to having a good cry, but I try to tell myself how lucky I was to have known and loved such an incredible dog. I now have a little cocker mix, Susie May who is difficult to photograph, but if I get a good one, I want you to paint her too. Thanks again for a job well done."
