The Jimmydog Design Group's Animal Advocacy
Jimmydog Design Group proudly supports animal welfare organizations including the Humane Society and Best Friends Animal Society.
Owners Stephanie and Todd Belcher care deeply about improving the lives of animals. They regularly volunteer their time to the local Humane Society's programs to prevent animal abuse and neglect in North Carolina. Stephanie is a Forsyth Humane Society Board Member and helps plan fundraisers and other activities. She and Todd previously helped produce the first-ever Forsyth Humane Society Furrball which was very successful, raising more than $125,000. Stephanie also spends time with the animals at the Adoption Center, walking the dogs and playing with the cats who have not yet found a home. In acknowledgement of her dedicated efforts, the Forsyth Humane Society recently honored Stephanie as Committee Member Volunteer of the Year.
Currently, they are both working on Art Unleashed! for 2008, a fundraising auction to benefit the Forsyth Humane Society. This public art exhibition of decorated dogs and colorful cats will be on display in downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Dozens of three-foot-tall white fiberglass statues will be adorned by selected artists and will later be auctioned off, with proceeds going to programs for local homeless and neglected dogs and cats. Last year, Todd was among the artists who painted a pet for the event which raised more than $90,000.
If you would like to volunteer to improve the lives of the animals around us, Stephanie and Todd wholeheartedly recommend these animal welfare organizations. Please visit their websites to learn more about how you can help our furry friends.
